Faculty & Staff

Ten full time classroom teachers and six part time teachers who are broadly trained and fully certified professional educators make up the staff of Saint Stanislaus Kostka School. Personally, our teachers are warm and caring people, who enjoy working with children and their parents. Teachers are available to students and to parents both before and after school. They are generous in offering to coordinate before and after school activities for the physical, educational, social and spiritual enrichment of the students. They help to create the warm family atmosphere that is characteristic of our school. The present school principal, Sister Rose Torma, has been instructional leader and administrator at Saint Stanislaus Kostka School since 1983, lending continuity and stability to the smooth running and development of the school. Professionally, all have achieved a Bachelors Degree in education, and within the time specified by the State Education Department, are required to attain a Master's Degree in the field of education. Diocesan regulations specify that each teacher must take the required courses to be certified as a religious catechist, and must accrue ninety (90) hours of professional development during each five year interval. At monthly faculty meetings and in service workshops, a consistent approach to increasing professional competence and ensuring continuity of methods and instruction is maintained.
